Window & Door Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Window & Door Service Technician to join our impact window division. This role is focused on the  post-installation phase - diagnosing issues, performing high-quality repairs, and providing exceptional service to our customers across South Florida.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field Repairs: Conduct service calls to troubleshoot and repair impact windows and doors (including rollers, balances, locks, handles, and weatherstripping, caulking, remove and reinstallation of units or glass).
  • Quality Control: Perform "punch list" walkthroughs to ensure new installations meet company and municipal code standards.
  • Leak & Sealant Issues: Identify and resolve water intrusion or air filtration issues using professional-grade sealants and waterproofing techniques.
  • Glass Replacement: Safely remove and replace damaged or defective impact glass units, windows and doors.
  • Customer Relations: Clearly explain repairs to homeowners and provide education on product operation and warranty maintenance.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in impact window and door installation or service.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of South Florida building codes and the mechanical components of various brands (Euro Wall, Fleet Wood, ES Windows).
  • Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working on ladders, handling heavy glass units, and working in the South Florida heat, scaffolding, forklift, unload and load trucks as needed, caulk and watertest.
  • Tools & Equipment: Proficient with power tools, glazing tools, and diagnostic equipment, forklift.
  • Clean Record: Valid Florida Driver’s License and a clean driving record (you will be operating a company service vehicle).

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to diagnose failures and determine the most cost-effective, permanent solution.
  • Professionalism: Punctual, organized, and capable of maintaining a clean job site and work truck.
  • Communication: Strong verbal skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred to serve our diverse South Florida clientele.
  • Dependability: A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
